Biker to English Translation for new Motorcycle Riders
Actually, if you've been riding motorcycles for long at all you especially what I just wanted to say. If you haven't, it's time for a little education. As with any special interest, there is really an unique and very specific vocabulary that has amassed around motorcycling. An exhaustive listing of these terms would go on for hundreds of entries. We'll just look at 10 or so of slightly more common and colorful children.
So what is a high side, and a low side? They are the methods you can fall off a motorcycle. In a reasonable side, you might be coming around a curve, leaned way over, and hit some gravel that causes your tire to lose traction. You're already leaned over and that back wheel just slides free and all of a sudden you're sliding yourself. On the high side it's likely that you've locked your current rear brake and the tail end of the bike has started sliding. Products and solutions release that brake your tire can regain traction, but at that point you're not pointed a direction you're actually moving. As the tire grabs the bike supports abruptly and momentum carries you right on over-the-counter other side, flinging you off through the circulation. In general, it's better to drop only one or two extra inches and slide than to be thrown through the air.
